Terms of Use
By downloading, installing, or using AirReveal, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms apply alongside AirReveal's Privacy Policy, which describes how your data is handled.
AirReveal is a personal flight-companion app. It helps you plan a flight's route, track your own real flight live using your device's GPS, and discover landmarks, countries, and points of interest along the way — offline, wherever possible. It also keeps a personal journal of your completed trips.
Planning a flight — creating a route, previewing it on the map, browsing landmarks, downloading offline content — is always free. Live tracking a real flight with your device's GPS, including offline map support while you're tracking, requires an AirReveal Pro subscription (your first Live-tracked flight is free — see Section 5).
AirReveal is not connected to any airline, airport, or air-traffic-control system, and it does not receive live flight-status data from any aviation authority. Route generation, flight numbers, and schedules you enter or import are for your own planning and record-keeping only.
Never rely on AirReveal for real-time flight status, gate information, delays, cancellations, or any safety-critical decision. Always use your airline's own app, airport displays, or staff for that information. AirReveal's Live tracking reflects your device's own GPS position — it is not a substitute for official flight information.
You must meet the minimum age required to hold an Apple ID / App Store account in your country to use AirReveal, and to purchase a subscription.
Your very first Live-tracked flight is free, with no subscription or payment required. After that, AirReveal Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase, billed and managed entirely through your Apple ID / App Store account:

You own the flight details, journal entries, and photos you create in AirReveal. We don't claim any ownership over it, and — as described in the Privacy Policy — it stays on your device (and your own iCloud, only if you choose to sync it) rather than on an AirReveal server. You're responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping your device secure, since AirReveal has no way to back up or recover data it never receives.
Live tracking uses your device's GPS, including in the background while the app isn't open, so your route and progress keep updating over the course of a real flight. You can revoke location permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → AirReveal, though doing so will stop Live tracking from working. Offline map and content downloads use publicly available map tiles and landmark data (see Section 10) and don't require any location permission beyond what Live tracking itself needs.
You agree not to:
AirReveal's name, design, and underlying software are the property of its developer and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app — it doesn't transfer any ownership of that intellectual property to you.
AirReveal integrates with a small number of outside services to provide its features:
Your use of these services through AirReveal is also subject to each provider's own terms, which are outside AirReveal's control.
AirReveal is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any route, landmark, weather, or location data it produces will be accurate or complete.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AirReveal's developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the app — including any decision made in reliance on flight, route, or location information it displays. Our total liability for any claim relating to AirReveal will not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve months before the claim arose.
You may stop using AirReveal at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or discontinue AirReveal, or any of its features, at any time — for example, if the app is withdrawn from the App Store. Because your data lives on your device, deleting the app is also how you delete your data (see the Privacy Policy for details).
We may update AirReveal's features and these Terms of Use from time to time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the "Effective" date above and note the change in the app's release notes. Continuing to use AirReveal after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are between you and AirReveal's developer only, not with Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for AirReveal. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) to you; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to AirReveal. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you relating to AirReveal, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection law. Apple, and Apple's subsidiaries, are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections under the law of the country in which you live.
